Bona Fide Finance is an independent, fee-only firm
that focuses on developing and implementing plans for
young professionals, growing families and early retirees.
If your career track is unconventional, we would love to work with you!
Bona Fide Finance offers the following three options for ongoing service. Since the breadth of subject matter covered remains the same in each, the main differentiator between the services is the number of meetings per year. All ongoing services provide unlimited access to Right Capital.
Financial Goals & Life Planning
Employee Benefits Assessment
Insurance Policy Review
Retirement Savings Projection
Tax Planning Strategies
This service meets monthly. If your finances have a lot happening and your life is full to the brim, this service is what you need. We will help you get it all straightened out.
This service meets quarterly. If your personal finances and affairs keep you busy but you feel like you have a handle on your situation, this service is your best bet. We make sure you stay on top of everything.
This single engagement service is a two-hour “Ask me Anything”. You control the agenda in this intense two-hour meeting. Your homework is to create a list of financial planning and/or investment related questions. We will work through your questions one by one. The goal of this meeting is to provide you with as much information as possible during the two-hour engagement.
In this service, we examine your finances in their totality and then send you on your way. The assessment normally takes two months to complete with a handful of meetings sprinkled throughout. By the end, you will receive a detailed report of where you stand, a list of steps to take moving forward and an assessment of how close you are to obtaining your financial goals. If you are someone who values professional advice but prefers to take matters into your own hands, then a Bona Fide Review is perfect for you.
Bona Fide Finance is committed to helping all those who approach us for our services. Nonetheless, there are some categories of people that would be better serviced somewhere else. We thought it worth mentioning here:
Those who are near typical retirement age (55+) and who are looking for someone to give direction as they make this transition. We firmly believe that this task requires specialized attention and education. This is not an area of focus for us, and we ask you to consider a colleague of ours who does specialize in these matters: www.retirementstartstoday.com
Those who seek happiness by obtaining vast sums of wealth by ‘striking it rich’ in the financial markets. Bona Fide Finance’s culture is not nearly flashy enough to satiate your grand desires because we like the simple things in life and are well aware that being a middle class American is much, much more than most human beings could have ever imagined or desired.
Those who are lazy, feel entitled, or cannot say “no” to themselves. We cannot help you; maybe a counselor can.
